Domain The Net was the first Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) accredited registrar. Domain The Net has always operated to promote different TLD management procedures for existing and future TLDs worldwide, in cooperation with ISOC-IL for the Israeli Internet community's benefit.
ISOC-IL was established in 1994 as an independent association, with responsibility to monitor and manage the .il domain name registry (including the sub-TLDs like co.il, org.il, ac.il, net.il, gov.il and more). It is managed by 9 board members (since 2010), and according to Israel's association laws. ISOC-IL acts to promote the Internet and its integration in Israel's technological, business, social, education and research sectors.

Since 2007 ISOC-IL has authorized other parties to register .il domain names. Domain The Net was the first company to be authorized and act as an accredited ISOC-IL registrar. Domain The Net is also an ICANN accredited registrar and .eu accredited registrar, and it is the biggest and leading Israeli registrar. The company provides online registration services for domain names in over 240 countries and over 1000 extensions in a variety of languages. ISOC-IL has developed a reliable and secured system for accredited registrars to register .il domains, update domain details, transfer domains and more. This system is available only for ISOC-IL accredited registrars.
Domain the Net was authorized to act as ISOC-IL accredited registrar, due to its obligation to ISOC-IL to act in a trusted and professional manner towards .il registrants and the Israeli Internet community in general.
It is important to state that only companies and organizations may become ISOC-IL accredited registrars and not individual persons.
